“MY BABY wore her crown electric - chanted till the flames grew higher
She wills you to dance - until you fall into the voodoo trance”

We're more than happy to announce that Amsterdam based psychedelic, shamanic trio MY BABY is now a part of the Glitterhouse Family of Music! The Dutch/New Zealand band was founded 2012 by Cato van Dyck, her brother Sheik and Daniel Johnston followed by the bands debut "Loves Voodoo!" only one year later. 2015 saw the release of MY BABY's second album “Shamanaid” and a tour that included over 200 shows in South Africa, New Zealand, USA, UK and Germany.

Since then MY BABY’s live act has developed a name for itself as an unrelenting psychedelic experience playing blues rooted psychedelic music subverted by an irresistible Indie Dance Beat, gaining notoriety worldwide, touring with artists such as Seasick Steve and Larry Graham and playing festivals like Glastonbury, Sziget or Lowlands. The Band endeavours to create an imaginative landscape, where “My baby” has become an allegory, the protagonist in a phantasmagorical and timeless universe, where she features as the figurehead of protest, voodoo priestess, bearer of broken hearts, both aggressor on the plains and keeper of the peace, enchanting, meditating, preaching, screaming, loving, dreaming.

Over the past 12 months the three-piece has had their mojo working overtime and are rightly celebrated by Q Mag, Clash Magazine, Complex Magazine, The Sunday Express, Classic Rock and Artrocker amongst others as well as enjoying national airplay on BBC Radio 6, Radio 2 and over 60 regional radio stations! MY BABY will release its amazing new album “Prehistoric Rhythm” with Glitterhouse Records on March 17 followed up by extensive touring!

“Psychedelic tapestries of sounds to drilled down beats, classic songwriting to a keen exploration of sound.”

“It’s rare for a band playing live to create the kind of vibe normally reserved for top name dance DJs but MY BABY nailed it.” – The Argus

“MY BABY serve up acid-fried country stompers that will haunt your dreams for weeks.”
