SLIM CESSNA’S AUTO CLUB Tour with Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats

posted at 02/02/2018

We're more than happy to announce that the one and only Slim Cessna's Auto Club will support the amazing Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats on their upcoming tour in Europe.

In September 2016, Slim Cessna's Auto Club released the new album The Commandments According to SCAC via Glitterhouse Records. 24 years ago Slim Cessna parted ways with The Denver Gentlemen (in which David Eugene Edwards was seen and heard for the 1st time), that grand progenitor of the peculiar strain of Gothic Americana unique to the Mile High City, to form Slim Cessna's Auto Club with a group of talented peers. With The Commandments the Auto Club seemed to step forward into the promise of its own possibilities. It remains capable of the heady darkness and celebratory intensity with which it made its name. The new album sounds like a band marshalling its creative inspiration to mark out a new chapter of its existence. When you get to see the Auto Club live, you'll get to see an already mighty band reinvigorated by this new spirit as well as by the fire that has long burned in its collective belly!

In March and April Slim Cessna and his band will hit the streets to play an amazing support tour for US singer-songwriter Nathaniel Rateliff and his R&B band The Night Sweats.

"This is the country band that plays the bar at the end of the world", Jello Biafra once said about Slim Cessna's Auto Club from Denver, Colorado... and he was damn right!
