Holy Demon

Release Date: 05/20/2022 · Format: CD/LP/Digital · Catalog-No: GRCD/LP 1072

We're more than happy to welcome the wild Surf-Punk and Grunge four-piece Drens to the Glitterhouse family of music. After playing countless shows and festivals such as Reeperbahn Festival, Open Flair and Maifeld Derby the band released the ‚Pet Peeves‘ EP produced by KRAFTKLUBs‘ Steffen Israel in 2020. The song ''All My Friends Got Time" made its way into the Netflix series „How To Sell Drugs Online (Fast)“. 2022 Drens are ready to release their highly anticipated debut album entitled HOLY DEMON on May 20th with Glitterhouse Records.

It’s a warm late summer evening in the Nordstadt area of Dortmund, Germany. People walk through the streets, searching for a bar or a diner, not paying attention to the four young men sitting in front of their favorite dive. Open bottles and cigarettes. It’s a nice and cheerful evening – or rather it could be. In fact the four dudes are bothered by inner conflicts, relationship problems, ideas of leaving the city, Holy Demons. A spirit of departure is hanging above the heads of Fabian Livrée, Arno Augustin, Patrick Uitz-Blickling and Joël Brüning. „I know that this won’t ever come true/ Felt first like glitter then so bitter, couldn’t hold on to you/ I just hold on to my holy demon/ And I can’t resist this toxic feeling“.

HOLY DEMON is the title of the band‘s first full length album packed with ten hits full of fuzzy riffs, hard hitting drums and punky indie rock woven around thrilling and catchy songs – yet this record truly sounds big and massive. HOLY DEMON was produced by Sebastian „Zebo“ Adam, who also worked with Austrian Indie Popstars Bilderbuch on their iconic „Schick Schock“ album. This collaboration takes its full effect on HOLY DEMON, catchy harmonies meet dark and profound lyrics. This album is a snapshot in time, a picture taken from the evening mentioned before, a young band ready to make their mark.

You care for music that has an attitude without being nosey at all? You might be interested in a band that bears slight resemblances of Fidlar, Ty Segall, Kurt Vile or even The Posies? You never heard of any of the bands mentioned - but you got ears to listen, an open mind to understand and a stomach to digest?
Either way, you’ll love Drens‘ debut album HOLY DEMON - to be released May 20th via Glitterhouse Records, followed by extensive touring.
